Wireless Surveillance Systems
One great way to leverage the investment of a Municipal Wi-Fi network is to place wireless surveillance cameras in high crime areas to monitor the public activities of drug dealers and criminals. One such pilot program in New Orleans measured fifty-seven percent fewer murders and thirty percent fewer car thefts during the six-moth pilot in the high-crime area of the New Orleans mid-city First District.
